Scuba.com Stinks...and I mean Sucks

Over the last 4 weeks I have learned a valuable lesson:  DO NOT SHOP AT SCUBA.COM.  Their website brags about their great customer service, but in the real world it sucks.

My story with the sucky scuba.com:
On February 22nd I ordered my Fantasea Cool Flash Nano Strobe, Focusing Light, 14" Flex Arm, 9" Flex Arm, and mounting tray package.  It was to be at my door on March 9th.  It was not the ideal turn around time, but the price was good and my trip was still a ways off.  Well, my order kept being backordered and I finally received a box from the sucky scuba.com on March 16th.  Unfortunately it was missing both flex arms and the mounting tray.  I realized that mistakes happen, so I email the sucky scuba.com on March 16th.  I received a canned response on March 17th stating "We will have this looked into and corrected for you.  Regards, The Scuba.com Team."  On Tuesday, March 20th I shot another email to the sucky scuba.com asking for the status of the missing items.  Today, I called the sucky scuba.com to find out where my stuff was, when would I get it, and why was no one responding?  I was told by some twit at the sucky scuba.com that I would have to UPS the items I received from them back to them so that they could send it to the vendor for a remedy.  So basically, I have to spend money to fix their mistake!  I asked why the sucky scuba.com could not simply send me the missing parts?  I was told that it was their vendor's error and it would have to be addressed with them.  It most certainly was not the vendor's error!!  I have a label on the box that shows the product came from the super sucky scuba.com and that it was "Checked by 1264" on the horrifically super sucky scuba.com's invoice.  ARGH!  And don't even get me started on the return policy!

At this point I am simply spending another $100 and ordering the parts I need directly from Fantasea.  I don't want to go through the horrifically super sucky scuba.com's return policy as stated by the twit.  Basically, I have to pay to return an incorrect order and at sometime in the distant future they will process the return.  So,  I am now writing this blog to warn your not to purchase anything from horrifically super sucky scuba.com.

If you are looking for a good online scuba store, try the awesome leisurepro.com.  Or just go to your local dive shop...

On a positive note, I bought an awesome Swedish wetsuit....it's the bomb.
